Parish Commitment to Child Safety

Our Lady Help of Christians Parish Community is committed to the safety and well-being of all children and young people.  Our commitment is drawn from and inherent in the teaching and mission of Jesus Christ, with love, justice and the sanctity of each human person at the heart of the Gospel.

We have zero tolerance for child abuse, this includes: sexual, physical and emotional abuse or neglect.

Our Lady Help of Christians Parish is committed to providing a child safe environment where children and young people are safe and feel safe, and their voices are heard about decisions that affect their lives.  Every parishioner has a responsibility to understand the important and specific role he/she plays individually and collectively to ensure that the well-being and safety of all children and young people is at the forefront of parish life.

Our Child Safety Policy, Code of Conduct and all associated policies and procedures have a specific focus on safeguarding children and young people at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, against sexual, physical and emotional abuse or neglect.

If you have concerns about the safety of a child, please contact our Child Safeguarding Officer at:  montmorency.childsafety@cam.org.au.
